THE SPACE
Mainsfield House is a luxurious and opulent country residence in the North Yorkshire countryside, located on the edge of Giggleswick village surrounded by stunning scenery and just a short walk from two fantastic country pubs. Dating back to the 19th century Mainsfield was built for a local mill owner and Sir Edward Elgar stayed as a guest of the family, often playing piano in the front room.
The property has been renovated blending contemporary luxury with period features. Boasting eight bedrooms, two spacious living areas, two bathrooms and five en-suites over three floors, this magnificent home is the perfect destination for a special occasion or to simply bring the family together for a memorable North Yorkshire retreat all year round.

Upon arrival, there is ample off-road parking for 12 cars. Make your way up the steps to the impressive front door, step inside and through the original wooden entrance doors. Head into the open-plan reception room, complete with a feature brass and tiled fireplace with velvet teal sofa, armchairs and Smart TV, setting the standard for the property. Younger guests can enjoy “the Naughty Corner” stocked with books, games and dress up. Continue to the spacious kitchen/diner, a sociable area for home-cooking and gathering, appointed with a wonderful selection of facilities including a Neff double oven and grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a wine chiller, plus an extendable dining table for hosting mealtimes. The utility room offers additional storage space and a washer/dryer.
On the ground floor are 3 spacious en suite bedrooms all with rainfall showers, crisp white linen and a mix of contemporary interiors and period features including original fireplaces. Large bay windows with views across Settle offer the chance to relax and recharge in two of the bedrooms. Less mobile guests can benefit from an accessible en-suite and access to the garden in the third bedroom.
